O-Silhouette Stud Earrings

O-Silhouette Stud Earrings

The silhouette portrait image became popular in the 18th and 19th century, where cutouts were "drawn" in a single tone black or white, or the reverse. In a variation of the O-Stackable Rings, the twisted O-frame allows the light to reflect differently at every angle, contrasting the Sterling Silver Cup that sits asymmetrically to the other.

In this Silhouette Series, I investigate dimension, reflection, and perspective through the beauty of Sterling Silver.

Ethos

The FforFarah Jewelry Experience is a small fraction of Farah's art practice - one that redefines aesthetics and ornament through handmade wearable objects that question form, material, wearability and function with a primary focus on it’s relationship to the body.

Farah handcrafts all her pieces from scratch, come watch and experience it in person in her new studio/gallery in Maadi on street 232.
